We took first place in our class in the
2004 Targa Newfoundland, finished all stages within Targa
trophy time (wins the coveted Targa Plate), third place in Modern Division
and 6th overall out of 47 competitors. Oh, we were also the highest
finishing novice team. Everyone that beat us had done the event before.
Having tapes of the route from the year prior makes a huge difference. We
only acquired 1 minute and 12 seconds of penalty points over the course of 38
stages.

Your system worked great! Very easy to link to the speedometer
and
tachometer in the 1978 911SC Porsche. Once we got the odometer zeroed, we
could maintain an accuracy of .01 Km over a distance of 100 Km. Our biggest
problem was that the tire circumference kept changing over the course of the
5 days. I was working hard to use all the traction I could get!!!
